Dakota Lumberjacks Start Strong for a New Season

ACHA Men’s Division 2 – Ranking #2
Troy, MI (November 14, 2019) – The American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) unveiled the second ranking of the 2019-20 season for its Men’s Division 2 conference, including the Northeast, Southeast, Central and West regions. The following are the recaps of the top 5 eligible teams from each region as of November 11, 2019.
Central
Sault College remains at the top spot with a M2 record of 9-2-1 with wins over Davenport and Liberty last week. Lindenwood University earns the No. 2 spot with 10-2-0 record and sweeping Southern Illinois-Edwardsville with 8-2 and 6-2 scores. Marian University comes in at the No. 3 spot after 4 wins this past week improving their record to 11-1-1. Filling out the No. 4 and 5 spots are Trine University (6-5-1) and University of St. Thomas (10-3-0) respectively.
Southeast
Liberty University moves into the No. 1 ranking in a tight Southeast region with a 12-1-0 record. Florida Gulf Coast University is closely behind at the No. 2 position with a 10-2-1 record after going 2-1-1 on the week. University of Cincinnati (8-3-0) earns the No. 3 spot with 3 wins last week followed by Miami University (9-3-0) also with 3 wins on the week, and Rider University with an 8-4-0 record.
Northeast
Roger Williams University remains the No. 1 seed in the Northeast with 2 wins last week improving to a M2 record of 7-3-0. Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (6-2-1) has the No. 2 ranking after earning a big win vs. this weeks No. 3 team, University of New Hampshire (6-1-1). Following up at No. 4 is Providence College with a 7-2-0 record and Marist College with a 7-1-1 record.
West
University of Mary holds on to the top spot in the West with 2 wins last week improving to a M2 record of 17-2-0. University of Providence is in the No. 2 spot with a 9-1-0 record followed by No. 3 Weber State University (6-6-0) who beat Montana State University. Utah State (7-5-0) follows at No. 4 and Montana State University (7-6-0) at No. 5 after a 1-1 week.
