2025-2026 D1 Schedule Released
Date: Jul 7, 2025
Last Friday the Lions traveled to Annapolis, MD to take on the Naval Academy's Division 1 team in their only game of the weekend. The first period was an even one but the Midshipmen would score the only two goals, Nathan Hyden would get the icebreaker when he finished off a pass from Edward Xiao in the low slot and then Joe Kelly would finish a great pass from Conner Hyden on a two on one break to give Navy a two goal lead. Navy would push the lead to three with a power play goal when Derek Golembrosky would put in a one-timer from the right circle. TCNJ would apply some pressure late in the period but the Midshipmen took the three goal lead into the third period and leading in shots 35 to 25. Less than a minute into the third period junior forward JP Kelly would pick off a pass in the defensive zone and score on the breakaway to pull the Lions within two goals and although they would continue to pressure it was the closest they would get as Navy won the game 3-1, dropping TCNJ to 5-5 on the season. Sophmore goalie Mike Lojewski was awesome as he stopped 57 of the 60 shots he faced.
The Lions next game is this Sunday, October 20th against Scranton in a rematch of the last two Colonial Cup Championship games! Game time is 3:15pm at Loucks Ice Arena on the campus of the Lawrenceville School, if you can't make it out to the rink you can catch the game on Lions Hockey Live at bit.ly/lionshockeylive
