CLA Welcomes Ashley Welock as Finance and Administration Coordinator

Ottawa, ON – The Canadian Lacrosse Association (CLA) is pleased to announce Ashley Welock will be joining the team as the finance and administration coordinator.

As the finance and administration coordinator, Ashley will assist the executive director in ensuring that all aspects of office administration are working effectively, provide day-to-day bookkeeping services, conduct the administration of national championships, and plan meetings.

Ashley previously worked at the Canadian Lacrosse Association from 2013-2015 as the program coordinator. Her familiarity with lacrosse and the CLA will assist in her transition into this new role. Ashley holds an economics and finance degree from Queen’s University and a graduate certificate in sport business management from Algonquin College. 

Since leaving the CLA in 2015, Ashley has worked as the chief financial officer at the Ottawa Gymnastics Centre as well as senior accountant and bookkeeper with Clare Business Services where she provided high level financial services to numerous national and multi-sport organizations.

With Ashley’s experience as the CLA’s former program coordinator and familiarity with our sport organization, she will be a valuable asset to the team.”
