2025-2026 D1 Schedule Released
Date: Jul 7, 2025
On Friday night the Lions traveled to Wall Township to take on the Monmouth Hawks in their second Colonial league game. The Lions came out flat in the first period and Monmouth would score seven minutes in to take the early lead, although TCNJ would outshoot them 14-5 in the period the Hawks took the one goal lead into the second period. Just about half way through the period Jameson Dugan would hammer home a nice passing play from Anthony DeAlto and freshman John Green(first college point) to knot things up at one. The Lions would keep pressing and sophomore Patrick Coyle would drive to the net and go bardown to give TCNJ a one goal lead, Ryan Anderson and Patrick Willever had the assists and would take the one goal lead into the intermission. The Hawks would tie the game up on a breakaway less than five minutes into the third period but again the Lions would respond as Matt Lojewski finished off another nice passing play from Dan Martin and Andrew Lem. The Hawks nearly tied the game late as they missed an open net but Kris Hastings would seal the game with a 200 foot empty net goal. Nick Pontoriero got back in the win column by stopping 25 of the 27 shots he faced. The Lions overall record improved to 3-3 and 2-0 in Colonial league play.
