The Rail Yard Dawgs have released their 2019-2020 Promotional Calendar. This year’s line up includes new specialty nights and old favorites. The Dawgs open their season on the road against the Pensacola Ice Flyers on Friday, October 18, but return home the next weekend. The Dawgs take on the Fayetteville Marksmen for Opening Night on Saturday, October 26 at 7:05 P.M. sponsored by Haley Toyota with media partner 96.3 WROV. 
 

Old favorites include the Teddy Bear Toss on December 14, sponsored by Gillespie Allstate Agencies, Star Wars Night on December 7 and Wiener Dawg Races on February 1. One of the Dawgs most popular nights, New Year’s Eve, also remains on the calendar. The puck will drop at 6:05 P.M. to ring in the new year! Other popular games returning this season include Youth Sports Night on March 20 and Military Night on March 21. Racing Night also returns, sponsored by Carilion Clinic, on March 27.
 

The Dawgs will play three Thursday home games this season rebranded as Thirsty Thursdays sponsored by Bud Light. Each Thursday game will feature select discount beverages and trivia games.
 

There are two games on the list dedicated to celebrating hockey milestones. On January 18, we will celebrate the 100th Rail Yard Dawgs home game since the team's inception in October 2016. Then, on February 22 the Dawgs will wear special jerseys to recognize & commemorate the 40th Anniversary of Miracle on Ice. 
 

One of the biggest games of the season is getting even bigger as the SPHL and Marvel just announced a league-wide partnership for the 2019-2020 season. Marvel Super Hero™ Night is scheduled for February 8. The event is sponsored by Wisler Plumbing and will be complete with kid-friendly pre-game activities and specialty jerseys.
