Big Sticks Complete the Sweep of the Trappers Winning 9-6

Giving up a solo home run to the first batter of the game, the Big Sticks rallied behind strong hitting to claim a 9-6 victory over the visiting Trappers. Michael Furhman tied up the game in the bottom of the first when he hit a single allowing Ryan Walstad to score. The Big Sticks kept up their momentum scoring two more runs in the bottom of the first inning off of a single by Conner VanCleave and an error by the Trappers' third baseman.

Up 3-1, the Big Sticks gave up one more home run in the top of the second inning to Niko Piazza. Kaimana Souza Paaluhi returned the favor in the bottom of the second inning hitting a two run home run with two outs and Walstad on first base.

Walstad earned his own RBIs in the bottom of the third inning when he hit a single scoring two runs giving the Big Sticks an 8-2 lead.

The Big Sticks' defense forced two consecutive three up, three down innings in the top of the third and top of the fourth inning. 

After giving up three runs to the Trappers, the Big Sticks slowed the surging Trappers when Nathan Sanders hit a solo home run in the bottom of the eighth inning giving the Big Sticks 9-5 lead.

The Big Sticks would go on to win this game with a final score of 9-6 sweeping the visiting Trappers. The Big Sticks will host the Spearfish Sasquatch on July 23rd at Dakota Community Bank & Trust Ballpark with the first pitch coming at 6:35 PM (MDT).
