Bucs lose a tough two

A pitching duel under the Anchorage sun ended in favor of the Anchorage Bucs who posted a 3-1 win over the Peninsula Oilers on Tuesday at Mulcahy Stadium.
The Bucs (24-9) for the second-straight night capitalized against the Oilers (12-23) pitching staff with runners in scoring position.

A Chad Castillo RBI single opened the scoring for the Bucs in the first inning against Oilers starter Eric Reardon scoring Cole Tate who lead off the inning with a triple.
The Oilers tied the game in the fourth inning when Connor McCord scored on an RBI single by Travis Bohall against Bucs starter Michael Frias.
Anchorage took a 2-1 lead in the bottom of the fifth when Blake Paugh drove in Tate from third base on a sacrifice fly.
The Bucs scored their third run on a dropped third strike by Oilers catcher Adam Dapkewicz with the bases loaded. It allowed Tate to score from third to give the Bucs a two-run lead.
