With no divisions in the 2019 season, the Cal Ripken League All Star Game will take on a new format this year. Instead of North vs South, the All State Game team will be the three teams from Maryland versus the three teams from DC/Virginia.

The Grays, in second place as of July 5, lead the DC/VA team with 11 players. The trio of Jordan Wiley, Austin Demming and Noah Searcy have led the Grays offense that has been largely inconsistent throughout the 2019 season. Cam Fowler and Reid McLaughlin have been strong in the Grays rotations this year, including a pitcher of the week honor for Fowler. The Grays have the second best ERA in the CRCBL

The Braves have 10 players in despite being in last place in the Ripken League. Ben Blackwell and Ryan M. Davis. Blackwell leads the team in batting average. Davis leads the team in RBIs. Carson McClure, Jack Cone and Jack Nathan have been the best pitchers for the Braves this season, each having ERAs below 2.50. 

The Aces group is led by its trio of top hitters, Scotty Morgan, TJ McKenzie and Max Romero. McKenzie and Romero, Vanderbilt signees, have quickly adjusted to college baseball and Scotty Morgan has been a threat at the triple crown over the first half of the season. Jared Lyons has been one of the league’s best strikeout pitchers through the first half as well. 

The All Star Game will be played at 7 p.m. on July 10 at Shirley Povich Field. The full DC/VA roster is posted below.
