ADANACS NAME NEW VICE PRESIDENT OF LACROSSE OPERATIONS

Date:  Source: Coquitlam Adanacs

The Coquitlam Senior Adanacs are pleased to announce the addition of James Abbott as the VP Lacrosse Operations. James’s history runs deep in the Coquitlam Lacrosse Community. Having grown up in Coquitlam he played all of his minor Lacrosse there.  As a player, James was always a leader on and off the floor which translated and carried over when he joined CMLA in an executive role. He then took over as President in 2008 in an ever fast-growing club to help propel it to one of the biggest associations in the country. He continues to support CMLA through many avenues.

Junior Adanacs

In 2011 there was a complete overhaul of the Junior Adanacs’ Lacrosse Operations, James was an integral part of a group to take over the club that saw continued success and stability for years to come – reaching the Minto Cup Finals every year since his inception. He has been club President and has been so from that day forward. James is a very big part of the Minto Cup Wins in 2016 and 2018. He will continue in this role to help guide the club in a positive direction. Ironically – James has coached many of the current Junior Adanacs in their younger’s years, mentoring & helping them become the players they are today. James has worked closely with Les Wingrove over the years for the betterment of the club and until his recent passing -Les and James were two key pieces for Lacrosse in Coquitlam. James always felt that mentorship helped develop him into who he is today. James’ connection to the Wingrove family is very strong in his effort to continue the Legacy of Les and Coquitlam as strong today as his has been in the past 40 years.
