The Western Michigan Stallions are proud to announce their third signing of the 2019-2020 recruiting class, signing goaltender Zane Branson.

Zane grew up in Las Vegas, NV, but currently resides in Liverpool, New York. He began playing hockey in 2008, starting with roller hockey before making the transition to the ice. He credits much of his success to his goalie coach, Jeff Bruckner, and his continual work on and off the ice before school each day.

Away from the rink, Zane likes spending time outdoors, specifically playing games like spike ball, cornhole, and badminton. He also enjoys reading crime or mystery books, along with puzzles and other crafts.

Branson will join the Stallions after spending last season with the Potomac Patriots. Prior to Potomac, he appeared with the Oswego Stampede in the NA3HL, the Valley Jr. Warriors in the EHLP, and the Orangeville Ice Crushers in the GMHL.
