Tyson Gilmour of the Wellington Dukes (photo credit – Shawn Muir/OJHL Images) has confirmed his commitment to join the SUNY Geneseo Knights in Geneseo, NY beginning with the 2019-20 season.

The son of NHL great Doug Gilmour had 58 points (20 goals, 38 assists) in 52 games in the Ontario Junior Hockey League during 2018-19.

He was acquired by the Dukes last summer following seasons of 61 and then 78 points with the Powassan VooDoos of the Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League.

Gimour was an assistant captain during his last two seasons of junior hockey.

The native of Toronto played minor hockey for the Toronto Red Wings and Mississauga Reps organizations in the GTHL.

He was a ninth-round selection by the Kingston Frontenacs in the 2014 Ontario Hockey League draft.

Geneseo, a Rochester-area school, lost in the NCAA Division III semifinals last season.

Congratulations to Tyson and best of luck in the NCAA!
