The 20-year-old from Depew, NY was traded to Brantford from the Buffalo Jr. Sabres midway through the 2018-19 season.

He joined the Jr. Sabres from the Lockport Express of the NAJHL in 2017.

“Nick was a great leader and rugged defenceman for the 99ers after picking him up mid-season,” said Branford Governor and General Manager Darren DeDobbelaer. “Nick quickly added stability and experience to our blueline. Nick’s physical presence and poise with the puck was second to none. He will be very hard to replace, but we are excited for this next chapter in his life.”

Cortland listed seven OJHL graduates on its 2018-19 roster. Cortland, NY is located between Syracuse and Binghampton.

Congratulations to Nick and best of luck in the NCAA!

The OJHL, the largest Jr. A hockey league in Canada, had more than 135 commitments in 2017-18, including 65 NCAA Division I scholarships.
