A graduate of his hometown Hamilton Huskies AAA minor midgets, Albano began his junior hockey journey with the Dundas Blues Jr. C team in 2015-16 before playing Jr. B in Waterloo the next season.

He entered the Ontario Junior Hockey League in 2017 with the Georgetown Raiders. He was traded to the Stouffville Spirit in 2017-18 and then to Markham during the 2018-19 campaign.

In 28 games with the OJHL North Division regular season champion Royals, Albano had a 2.45 GAA and a .932 save percentage.

In the playoffs, the Royals went three rounds deep wining the North banner before falling to the eventual OJHL champion Oakville Blades in the semifinals. In 18 postseason games, Albano had a 2.59 GAA and 926 save percentage.

The Ontario Junior Hockey League had more than 135 commitments in 2017-18, including 65 NCAA Division I scholarships.

Congratulations to Andrew and best of luck in the NCAA!
