The winner of the 2019 Sutherland Cup will be decided tonight in London, Ont. as the London Nationals and Waterloo Siskins will face off for the final time this season.

It will take a seventh game to see who will take home the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League's Sutherland Cup championship trophy.

Waterloo had led the series 2-0 in the early going but London has stormed back and forced the series to seven games. The Siskins picked up wins in Games 1 (9-4), Game 2 (5-4) and Game 5 (5-3). The Nationals, on the other hand, have won Game 3 (6-2), Game 4 (3-1) and Game 6 (5-1).

The deadlocked 3-3 tie will be broken Wednesday night as the Nationals host the Siskins at the Western Fair Community Centre in London at 7:30 p.m.

Defenceman Noah Tooke leads all Nationals players with six goals and 10 points in six games in the series. Behind him in team scoring are Christian Pollilo and George Diaco who each have eight points in the series. Nationals' netminder Zachary Springer holds a 3-2 record in the finals,  a goals-against-average of 3.06 and a .901 save percentage.

The Siskins are led by Owen Lane, Jeff Schrattner and Sam Cherry each have eight points in the series. Waterloo will be without Cherry tonight due to suspension. Sam Spaedt has scored seven points which have him in fourth in team scoring. Siskins goaltender Matt Onuska has a 3-3 record in the finals and a 4.46 goals-against-average and an .877 save percentage.

A win tonight for Waterloo would be the franchise's 12th Sutherland Cup championship. The Siskins have won the championship in 1994, 1991, 1988, 1985, 1984, 1964, 1962, 1960, 1956, 1954 and in 1940.

The Nationals have won the Sutherland Cup just one time in 2012 but have appeared in the finals in 2016 and in 2017.
