Schurmann-Colicchio Named SRSA Male Athlete of the Year

Bloomington, IN—The accolades keep coming in for Christian Schurmann-Colicchio. The senior forward in an announcement by the Indiana University Student Recreational Sports Association, was named as the 2018-19 SRSA Male Athlete of the Year, the highest award for male athletes in club sports at IU.

Colicchio, 25, registered a career-best 57 points this season, along with a career-high 31 goals. One of the defining moments of the season for Colicchio was when the River Edge, NJ native broke the IU all-time goal scoring mark of 70, previously held by Chris Benz.

Colicchio was also named as a member of the First-Team All-Central Region in the American Collegiate Hockey Association’s Division 2 classification.
