2019 ACHA National Championships Begin Today

The Dallas Stars and Visit Frisco make history today as they usher in all five ACHA divisions -- Men's Divisions I, II and III and Women's Divisions I and II -- to host their national championships together for the first time in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
 
The 2019 ACHA National Championships will feature more than 1,500 players from 72 teams across all five ACHA divisions to compete in more than 100 games during March 21-31, 2019 at the newly named Comerica Center in Frisco, Texas, and Children's Health StarCenter in McKinney, Texas and Children's Health StarCenter in Plano, Texas.
 
The Men's Division I kick off the National Championships today with four games at Comerica Center.
 
10 a.m. -- Robert Morris University Pennsylvania (#20) vs University of Nevada-Las Vegas (#13)
1:30 p.m. -- University at Buffalo (#19) vs Missouri State University (#14)
5:00 p.m. -- Drexel University (#18) vs University of Oklahoma (#15)
8:30 p.m. -- Robert Morris University Illinois (#17) vs University of Jamestown (#16)
 
A total of 60 teams are competed in Men’s D-I this season with a computer ranking determining the 20 teams that qualify for the 2019 Men's D-I National Championships, which included the following six autobids:
 
•  (CHMA) College Hockey Mid-America - Robert Morris University Pennsylvania
•  (ECHA) Eastern Collegiate Hockey Association - Drexel University
•  (ESCHL) Eastern States Collegiate Hockey League - Liberty University
•  (GLCHL) Great Lakes Collegiate Hockey League - Adrian College
•  (NECHL) Northeast Collegiate Hockey League - University at Buffalo
•  (WCHL) Western Collegiate Hockey League - University of Arizona
 
In its 28th season of action, there have been a total of 14 schools that have won the ACHA Men's D-I National Championship:
•  Penn State (5 times)
•  Ohio (4)
•  Lindenwood (3)
•  Central Oklahoma (2)
•  Illinois (2)
•  North Dakota State (2)
•  Adrian
•  Arizona State
•  Davenport
•  Delaware
•  Iowa State
•  Minot State
•  Oakland
•  Rhode Island
