THURSDAY FEB 14 - PICKERING 3 BRANTFORD 0 - Pickering won their fifth game in the last six as they traveled to the home of Wayne Gretzky to take on the 99ers. Ben Sellars is proving to be a real sniper as he moved to the top of the circle and picked the top corner on a power play to notch his 8th of the season. The Panthers were fortunate to hang on to the slim lead until early in the third, relying on Blair Coffin to stone Brantford on several good scoring chances including a breakaway.
Adam Wheaton finally gave Pickering some breathing room, as he took a pass from behind the net from Ethan Cardwell and snapped it home at 6:34 of the third period. Joseph Franzin scored an insurance goal into the empty net with 1:40 remaining.
