The Ontario Junior Hockey League is hiring an office manager:

OJHL Support Staff Position

Position:

 Office Manager

Reports To:

OJHL Commissioner

Status:

Full Time – Part Time (15 hours / week)

Location:

2155 Dunwin Drive, Mississauga, ON

 

Duties and Responsibilities

 

Administrative Responsibilities 

  • Coordination of all OJHL Meetings including, AGM, Board of Governors, Board of Directors, General Managers
  • Management of all league files
  • Responsible for all incoming and out-going mail
  • Responsible for directing incoming of general inquires to the appropriate individual
  • Ordering of all office supplies
  • Be the lead contact with the landlord on day-to-day matters relating to office suite
  • Assist Commissioner and other staff with administrative activities
  • Perform other duties as required

Bookkeeping Responsibilities 

  • OJHL Accounts Payable – Ensure that all invoices are paid in a timely and efficient manner
  • OJHL Accounts Receivable – Ensure that all OJHL invoices are issued as per the direction of Commissioner and payment is made
  • Conduct periodic reconciliations of accounts to ensure their accuracy
  • Management of all league bank deposits
  • Management of all league files
  • Provide bookkeeping services which includes the entering of financial information into QuickBooks
  • Provide monthly financial statements for the Commissioner and Board of Directors

Essential Skills

  • Post Secondary Education in Business Administration or Accounting is an asset
  • High degree of proficiency in office procedures, bookkeeping and generally accepted accounting principles
  • Knowledge and practical experience of basic computer skills, particularly Simply Accounting or Quickbooks, Microsoft Word and Excel programs
  • Well organized, able to handle several tasks at the same time
  • Extremely strong attention to detail and willingness to complete assignments/projects using very high standards
  • Knowledge of CRA requirements an asset
  • Excellent telephone and communication skills
