Another blast of winter.

Another postponed game in the Ontario Junior Hockey League.

Tonight’s lone game in the OJHL – the Georgetown Raiders visiting the Buffalo Jr. Sabres – has been cancelled.

Environment Canada has issued the following alert Wednesday morning:

“Winter Weather Travel Advisory in effect for today.
Ice pellets are expected for much of the day today. A risk of freezing rain or freezing drizzle will accompany the ice pellets. Ice pellet accumulations of 2 to 4 cm are expected before the precipitation changes to freezing drizzle late this afternoon or this evening.
Freezing drizzle is expected to continue tonight and into Thursday morning. Freezing drizzle advisories may be required.
The Wednesday morning and evening commutes will likely be affected due to accumulating ice pellets and the potential for untreated surfaces to become icy.

A make-up date will be announced shortly.
