The regular season came to an end this past weekend in dramatic fashion as Long Beach State clinched the No. 1 seed for the playoffs with a 3-2 win over Cal State Northridge.

     The bracket is now set for the 8th annual tournament. Long Beach clinched the regular season title for the first time with 25 points (12-1-1). The two-time defending champion CSUN had to settle for second place with 24 points (12-2). The Matadors finished with the same record as Loyola Marymount but CSUN had the edge in the tie breaker due to sweeping the Lions. The host Cal State Fullerton finished in fourth place with 16 points (8-6). Finally first year team UC Santa Barbara earned the fifth seed with 14 points (7-7).

     Fullerton is hosting the playoffs for the second time. All games will be played at the East West Ice Palace in Artesia from Feb. 8-10.
