The final weekend of the regular season is approaching and playoff positioning is still to be determined.

     The top three seeds are locked in as Loyola Marymount is in first place with 24 points. Cal State Northridge is in second place with 22 points and Long Beach State is in third place with 21 points. The Matadors need to win both of their remaining games this weekend against UC Santa Barbara and Long Beach to clinch first place. Long Beach plays San Diego on Friday. The 49ers would also need to win both games to lock up first place.

     Should there be a tie in points between LMU and CSUN the Matadors own the tie breaker due to sweeping the Lions. If there is a tie in points between LMU and Long Beach the Lions own the tie breaker due to sweeping the 49ers.

     Cal State Fullerton and UC Santa Barbara have also clinched playoff spots.

     Fullerton is hosting this years playoffs at the East West Ice Palace in Artesia Feb. 8-10.
