Game two between Indiana and NIU cancelled

Bloomington, IN-- Saturday's match-up between Indiana and Northern Illinois has been cancelled due to inclement weather. Weather reports in the Bloomington and Monroe County areas had forecasted four to six inches of snow for Saturday.

Indiana head coach Andrew Newman announced that the game was cancelled due to weather five hours prior to puck drop.

The Hoosiers defeated the Huskies 4-1 on Friday night in the first game of the series to improve to 13-5-3 while dropping NIU to 9-14 with the loss.

The Huskies return to Dekalb, IL. for the first time in 2019 to host Minnesota St. Mankato next weekend, while Indiana hosts Great Midwest Hockey League foe and the #9 ranked Grand Valley State University in a top 15 match-up in the ACHA's Central Division. 

The series begins Friday at 9:15 pm ET. Game two begins at 3:15 pm ET on Saturday.

The final home game at Frank Southern Ice Arena is January 25th against the University of Kentucky.
