A former Ontario Junior Hockey League is have a large season in NCAA Division 1 hockey.

The Western Collegiate Hockey Association announced its weekly award winners, and The University of Alabama in Huntsville hockey team was represented by Mark Sinclair as WCHA Goalie of the Week for his performance this past weekend at Michigan Tech.
 
This is the second time this season Sinclair has earned WCHA Goalie of the Week honours. He played the Hamilton Red Wings (now the Markham Royals) in the OJHL for two seasons, 2013-15.
 
A native of Dundas, Ontario, Sinclair was sensational over the two-game series at Michigan Tech as he stopped 74-of-76 shots by the Huskies over the series split, ranking first amongst NCAA goaltenders this past weekend in saves (74) and second in save percentage (.974).
 
In the series-opening 1-0 win on Friday, Sinclair notched his first career shutout while posting 39 saves during the contest and navigating the Chargers through four successful penalty kills. He is the first Charger to record a shutout since Matt Larose on Oct. 31, 2015, and his 39 saves are the most in a shutout by a UAH netminder since Scott Monroe had 39 stops against Robert Morris on Feb. 26, 2005.
 
Overall this season, Sinclair ranks second in the WCHA and 16th nationally with a .927 save percentage, while ranking second in the league and 12th in the NCAA with 392 total saves.
 
The Chargers are away from competition this week, before returning to action on Dec. 28-29 in Burlington, Vermont, for the TD Bank Catamount Cup. UAH will take on host Vermont on Dec. 28, followed by a matchup with Northeastern on Dec. 29.
