ELKVILLE, IL - The DuPage Pistol Shrimp have signed Grant Emme, a highly touted, speedy, center fielder from Combined Locks, Wisconsin and a freshman at Eastern Illinois University to a contract for the 2019 campaign.

The 19-year-old, 2018 graduate from Kaukauna High School was a 2018 PG Preseason All-American and All-Regions team member and a 2017 PG Preseason Underclassmen All-American Honorable Mention, earning All-Wisconsin honors in his junior and senior season.

EIU Head Coach, Jason Anderson says, "Grant Emme is a prototype centerfielder. He's extremely athletic and has a good frame that will continue to develop. Grant was the first one to commit in this class, in the summer before his junior year and we're excited to have him on campus next year. His style of play will closest resemble that of Joe Duncan. He impresses us even more with how he carries himself and the leadership qualities he displays. We think Grant has the potential to be a solid outfielder for us and are excited to see him grow here at EIU."

In his senior season, Emme hit .485, 1 HR, 17 RBI with nine doubles, four triples, and seven stolen bases. Perfect Game ranked Emme as the No. 7 ranked outfielder in Wisconsin and the No. 36 ranked prospect overall in the Dairy State while earning a Top 1000 overall ranking, No. 414 as an outfielder.
