DUPAGE SIGN NJCAA ALL-AMERICAN OUTFIELDER JOSH MEYERS

ELKVILLE, IL - The DuPage Pistol Shrimp have signed outfielder Josh Meyers, from Yorkville, Illinois, a junior at Shorter University.

The 6'0", 195-pound, Meyer, who bats right and throws right, prior to committing to Shorter University, played for Waubonsee Community College Chiefs where he was named to the 2017 NCJAA All-American Team. 

Meyers, a 2014 Marmion Academy High School graduate in Aurora, Illinois, where he was a three sports athlete at an academically college preparatory high school, hit .378 for the Chiefs with a team-leading 65 hits in 2017. The freshman outfielder knocked in 41 runs and scored 40 runs while ripping 10 doubles, four triples and a couple of home runs. The big man also stole 11 bases, compiled a .422 on-base-percentage, posted a .517 slugging percentage by collecting 89 total bases and registered an amazing dozen outfield assists on the seasons. Meyers previously was selected to the All-ISCC First Team and the Region IV First Team.
