MINOT, N.D. -- It was if it was destined to be a ugly goal to win it. Both goaltenders turned Saturday afternoon's contest into a goaltending battle.  It took a loose puck, mad scramble in front to find its way sliding through a pile of bodies in the crease to find the back of the net. Captain junior Blake Fournier was in the right spot at the right time. With 3:57 remaining in the game, the junior was able to push one past Jamestown goaltender Tyson Brouwer. The goal ended up being the difference, as the Beavers went on to win 1-0. The win completed the weekend sweep, after the Beavers beat the Jimmies in Jamestown the night before 3-2. It was the 5th straight win for the young Beavers squad.

Less than three weeks ago the Beavers found themselves on the outside looking in on the national stage, have thrust themselves right in the thick of the top 20.

"This was no doubt a huge weekend for us." Said Head Coach Wade Regier. "It doesn't matter where either of us are ranked, or how each team had been playing the weekend before, these games are going to be battles. Once again two one goal games that could have gone either way. We are just a young team learning how to win. We took a big step forward this weekend."

The Beavers now 11-4-2 overall (9-4-2 ACHA D1) will face for the first time ever the University of Mary on Nov 30th in Minot and December 1st in Bismarck.
