Buckeyes Split Weekend

COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Ohio State University men’s hockey club team, beat Ohio University in the battle for Ohio this past weekend, improving team record to 4-3-0.
The game took place at Ohio University’s Bird Arena, the final score of the game being 1-6 in favor of the Buckeyes.
Both Schantz and Malinak tallied two goals each, while Schepflin and Walsh each added one. The Buckeye goalie, Neven Dyer, had an impressive night. Dyer saw a total of 41 shots and only allowed one in.
“This weekend’s games against OU was a must-win for us, and we did exactly what we needed to do,” said forward Nick Schantz. “Every guy on the team battled hard, and if we continue to play with the work ethic and execution we showed against OU we will have a very successful season.”
The Buckeyes have a big weekend ahead of them with back to back home games set to take place at OSU Ice Rink. On Friday night, November 9th, at 8:15 PM the Buckeyes are set to take on Dayton University (2-6-0). The next day at 6:45 PM the Buckeyes are set to play the University of Cincinnati (8-2-0).
The Buckeyes are looking to take the momentum from this weekend’s win to this upcoming weekend’s games, and the remainder of the season.
