Hoosiers Top Bradley 6-5

Peoria, IL--The Indiana Hoosiers captured a highly contested offensive shootout against Bradley University 6-5 on Friday in Peoria, Ill. The Hoosiers (3-0-1), close out their set against Bradley (2-2-1) on Saturday.

IU took an early 2-1 lead in the first period on goals scored by Thomas Ambrosia and Jack Jordan. The Hoosiers would take a 3-1 lead 57 seconds into the second period on a Matthew Herbst. The senior forward extended his goal-streak to three games in the win.

After a Bradley goal 6:11 into the third, James Georgiou scored his first goal of the season, putting the Hoosiers up 4-2.

Following a pair of Braves goals later in the third, Austin Eng scored his first pair of goals, which gave the Hoosiers a 6-4 lead.

Bradley scored their final goal with one second remaining in the third, final score IU 6-5. 

IU goaltender Joseph Stebbins recorded his first win of the season.

The Hoosiers close out their series against Bradley on Saturday, IU's final road game before their first homestand of the season next Friday against Wright State at Frank Southern Ice Arena.
