2018 HCBL First and Second Teams Announced

The 2018 Hamptons Collegiate Baseball League First and Second Teams were announced on Monday with several standouts from the 2018 HCBL season making the list.

The HCBL Champion Riverhead Tomcats highlighted the first team with six selections including 2018 MVP and HCBL Championship Series Co-MVP Eduardo Malinowski (Pennsylvania), batting champion Louis Antos (Queens), Alex Baratta (Binghamton), Tyler Henry (Dayton), Beau Keathley (Oakland) and the other Championship Co-MVP Chris Stefl (St. John’s).

HCBL Home Run Champion Alex Volpi (Holy Cross) of Shelter Island and Sag Harbor’s Nick Thornquist (UT San Antonio) who was a wire to wire .400 hitter all season rounded out the rest of the infield on the First Team.

HCBL Pitcher of the Year Carson Seymour (Dartmouth) of Southampton and HCBL Reliever of the Year Matt Paghidas (SUNY Maritime) of Long Island were also named to the First Team.
