While the co-owner of the Pioneers, he was one of our coaches and was able to get to know him well on and off the field. He is not just a skilled coach, but a true and caring person of his players and community”, Don Lewis. Brian will be the Head Coach and Director of Player Personnel of the Destroyers. Brian Hill will be announcing the rest of his coaching staff, so stay tuned to the Destroyers website for future news. “I am very excited and look forward to getting into my new role and having a successful 2019 Season back in the NYCBL.”, Brian Hill
The Destroyers have also hired Vice President and Assistant Coach, Jim Simmons for the Destroyers 2019 Inaugural Season in the NYCBL. "I've known Jimmy for a long time, over ten (10) years, both as an assistant coach with the former Elmira Jackals Pro team in the ECHL and as an assistant coach in our Pioneers Inaugural season in 2011. He's done a phenomenal job in the Pros, even winning a Championship, the Kelly Cup, with the Reading Royals of the ECHL. He truly loves helping players achieve their goals and goes above and beyond given expectations and has earned this opportunity. I know he will do a good job”, Don Lewis.
"Everything we do is going to be geared towards winning not just on the field, but off with our community as well. We want to maintain an integral role of improving and helping our players improve their game, so when they return to their collegiate team, their coaches will see that they improved in all aspects of their game. We want to prepare our players so they know what to do, which will allow them to play fast and aggressive”, Jimmy Simmons.
