Game 18: Team Saskatchewan vs. Team Nova Scotia, 3:00pm

The B side final saw Team Saskatchewan and Team Nova Scotia battling hard to win the gold. They were very evenly matched in an exciting run. The first period ended with the teams tied at one goal each. Second period saw Saskatchewan pull ahead with a 3-2 lead, but in the end Nova Scotia took the win and the B side gold with a 4-3 final score.

FINAL SCORE: SK 3 vs. NS 4

Game 19: Team First Nations vs. Team Manitoba, 5:00pm

Team First Nations had their minds set on taking home a medal and showed it in the battle for the bronze. After one period of play, they were up 2-0 over Manitoba. In the second, Manitoba worked hard and brought the game to a one goal difference, but in the end, it wasn’t enough to overcome the determination of Team First Nations who held their lead and earned the bronze medal.

FINAL SCORE: FN 7 vs. MB 5

Game 20: Team British Columbia vs. Team Ontario, 7:00pm

The A side final was the game of the week. It was a hard-fought match by both teams with amazing playing on both sides of the floor. With only a few minutes left of play, and Ontario up by one goal, BC pulled their goalie to try and get the upper hand and tie the game. Ontario toughed it out and managed to get the ball away from BC in the final couple seconds of the game and clench the gold by scoring on the open net.

FINAL SCORE: BC 5 vs. ON 7

A huge thank you goes out to all the volunteers who made this tournament possible, and all the teams and their families who came out to represent their provinces and made this a remarkable event.

See you all next year!
