Former UW Head Coach Cindy Dayley (right) and UW Assistant Coach Zoe Harris (left) were the first women to be coaches of a men’s collegiate hockey team and their coaching gear is on display at the NHL Hall of Fame in Toronto, Canada. The coaching duo were behind the bench from 1998-2004 where they compiled a record of 104-41-1, earning 2 PAC-8 Conference and 1 ACHA-West Coach of the Year awards.

Coach Harris started the ACHA Women's Division in 2000, was the VP for 4 years and was the first UW individual inducted into the ACHA Hall of Fame in 2014. The annual ACHA Player of the Year [POY] award has been named in her honor since 2004. Coach Harris was awarded by the American Hockey Coaches Association [AHCA] the Joe Burke Award in 2018 for growing the sport of hockey for women in the ACHA and WWFHA.
