McDougall throws a No-no.

RHP Travis McDougall of the Abbotsford Cardinals threw a complete game no hitter vs the North Delta Blue Jays at Delair Park on Saturday.  The tall  right hander used a combination of fastballs and off speed curveballs to strike out 6 (4 BB).  The Cards provided the defence—in the 7th RF Liam Knight tracked a ball to the right center gap for the first out—center fielder Taisei Yahiro made a great running catch in left center to seal the deal.  Liam Knight and Romero Snow each went 2 for 3 with an RBI to provide all the offense Mc Dougall would need.

In the first game of the doubleheader Mike Fitszimmons hit an  RBI bloop single in the bottom of the 8th for the Cards walk off win(3 – 2).  Reid Dawson of the Blue Jays pitched a solid 7 innings allowing 2 runs (1 earned) on 5 hits while Cards starter Nick Graham gave up 2 early runs holding the Blue Jays to 2 hits over 6 innings.  WP Derick Powell pitched two innings of relief for the Cardinals.
