HOLYOKE, MASS –The Valley Blue Sox will launch #PawsCation, a week-long fan outreach initiative beginning Monday, July 2, announced today.
The Valley Blue Sox Street Team will hit the road with Blue Sox players, staff and the team mascot, Paws. The initiative consists of visiting five different Western Massachusetts locations from July 2-7. Street team locations are unveiled each morning on the Blue Sox social media channels, along with a #PawsCation code word and the #PawsCation giveaway of the day.
Fans who engage with Paws, Blue Sox players and the street team on location will receive one entry into the daily #PawsCation giveaway drawing and the #PawsCation grand prize giveaway drawing; a night in the Shock Top Suite for ten at an upcoming Blue Sox home game.
Blue Sox fans who present the #PawsCation code word of the day to the street team will receive two free tickets to an upcoming Blue Sox home game and an additional entry into the #PawsCation daily and grand prize drawings.
“PawsCation is our largest fan outreach initiative in my time with the Blue Sox,” said Hunter Golden, general manager of the Valley Blue Sox. “We wanted to get out in the community and interact with our fans as a thank you for all of your support over the past few years. PawsCation is a great way for the organization to do that.”
After the Blue Sox home game on Friday, June 29, the team does not return to Mackenzie Stadium until Monday, July 9. Monday kicks off a stretch of 11 home games in 19 days.
On July 29, the Blue Sox will host the New England Collegiate Baseball League All-Star Game, an all-day event featuring some of the country’s top collegiate players in a variety of skills challenges including a fan-favorite, the home run derby.
