Blue Sox look to get back on track with a win on the road

HOLYOKE, MASS- The Newport Gulls snapped the Blue Sox win streak on Monday and the team is looking to bounce back by claiming a victory on the road. The Blue Sox are traveling to Laconia, New Hampshire tonight to compete against the Winnipesaukee Muskrats.

The last time the two teams met this season was June 8, the Blue Sox defeated the Muskrats 12-4 at Robbie Mills Memorial field. RHP Cooper Bradford (North Florida) set the pace; pitching through six innings recording nine strikeouts.

Starting on the mound for the Sox is senior RHP Andrew Sipowicz (Canisius). Sipowicz last pitched on the road against the Upper Valley Nighthawks, completing five innings to propel the team to a 4-3 win.

The first pitch for tonight's game is set for 6:05 p.m.
