Chandler Debrosse – The New Bedford, MA infielder will spend his third consecutive summer playing for the Bay Sox after hitting .391 (18-for-46) in 15 games with Central Connecticut State this spring. Debrosse tallied a .265 average with five doubles and two triples while playing multiple positions in the field for the Bay Sox last season.
Karsten Sherman – The 6’7” junior from Keiser University returns to the Bay Sox for his second season. Sherman will look to build off an impressive 2018 season with the Seahawks, where he was third in batting average (.355), fourth in on-base percentage (.432), and fifth in slugging percentage (.532). He also did not commit an error in 45 games at first base.
Michael Young – Young made nine appearances for the Bay Sox in the 2015 season with a 2-3 record in 37 innings of work. After recuperating from Tommy John surgery, Michael was a late addition to the Bay Sox roster in 2017, earning a win in his only appearance, with four strikeouts in two innings of work. As a senior, he made five appearances (four starts) for Stonehill College this spring, going 1-2 with a 3.76 ERA while picking up one save in relief. He led the Skyhawks by averaging nearly 10 K’s per nine innings pitched in 2018.
Serafino Brito – The Scarlet Knights junior will suit it up for the Bay Sox for the second year, as he made seven starts for New Bedford in 2017, with 40 K’s in 32.2 innings pitched. Brito was effective for Rutgers in 2018, earning five saves in 26 appearances while holding batters to a .235 average in 45.1 innings.
