Will Patton is a Hoosier fan favorite. Patton is going to be a sophomore next school year and he has already made quite an impact on the team with his leadership. From day one, Will wanted to make a difference on and off the ice. He quickly became an essential part of the Hoosier’s defense. Patton will also be leading the team’s philanthropy efforts this year as the team’s philanthropy chair. Learn about some of Will’s favorites below!

What do you do during the national anthem? Quietly singing the words loud enough so my team

can hear me.

One word that describes me: Sarcastic

My teammates say I am: always finding a way to embarrass myself and a real good locker room guy

Most memorable hockey achievement: Winning the Silver Stick International Tournament in   Canada

Is there something significant about your uniform number? Been my number since I began playing hockey

The best thing about the Frank Southern Ice Arena is: If you hit a puck on the ceiling pieces of the ceiling fall and it really gives the rink a lot of character and charm.

If I could change one hockey rule, it would be: allow fighting in the ACHA

This summer, I: mowed way too many lawns

Dream as a collegiate player: win a national championship

Post-college plans/goals: go to Medical School and become a dermatologist

Person most admired/role models: My mom and dad

If I could live any place in the world it would be: Dubai

What are you most thankful for? My parents and my opportunity to keep playing hockey in college.

What are you passionate about? I’m most passionate about becoming a dermatologist.

The best advice I have ever gotten is: If you aren’t doing things with a purpose every day, then

there is no point in doing anything.
