The Thunder AAA Hockey Club would like to congratulate forward Braiden Dorfman (‘00) for being selected in the 6th round of the NAHL draft by the Aberdeen Wings. Dorfman will follow in the footsteps of Thunder alum Andrew Sinard (‘97) who played the last two seasons in Aberdeen before heading to play for Miami of Ohio this coming season. Dorfman has played in the Thunder Hockey program for the last 7 seasons. This past season Dorfman led the team in points and also was selected to the Tier 1 Elite League All Star Team. “Braiden is great example of sticking with the process and being patient,” said Thunder Director of Hockey Keith Rowe, “he has really matured on and off the ice, which has helped out his game tremendously.  He has already improved many skill-sets that were once considered his weaknesses but knows he needs to continue to get stronger to help his game at the next level. We are extremely proud of Braiden for earning this opportunity.”

Below are four Thunder alums who joined Dorfman as draft selections:

Kendrick Frost (‘99)- 2nd round by Brookings

Dylan Moulton (‘01)- 6th round by Chippewa

Cannon Green (‘00)- 6th round by Philadelphia

Camden Theising (‘01)- 15th round by Chippewa
