Start From Scratch

Date:  Source: OJHL Collingwood Blues

With The Royal Bank Cup hoisted by the BCHL's Chilliwack Chiefs on Sunday with a 4-2 win over rival Wellington Dukes, the offseason has officially started. The first weekend of summer sees the Kingston Voyageurs hosting their annual Evaluation Camp with Vees hopefuls from Canada and the United States getting a look from the Voyageurs staff after a whole season of scouting.

The Vees have been a hotspot for College and Pro scouts over the last few seasons, with D1 commits to big schools coming in from Merrimack (Brett Seney), Colorado College (Cole Edwards), Robert Morris (Alex Tonge) Union (Anthony Rinaldi and Zach Emelifeonwu) and Princeton (Colin Tonge) and this camp is the first step for players to get a long look from the Evaluators to possibly play this coming season and move onto the next level.

The camp will be held at the Invista Centre, beginning at 6pm to 10pm on Friday, 8am to 8pm on Saturday and 8am to 1pm on Sunday. Admission is free to everyone.

We look forward to see all future prospects and fans at the rink this weekend!
