On Friday, June 29, 2018 members of the Rochester Baseball League are invited to Frontier Field, located at 333 Plymouth Ave, Rochester, New York, 14608 to remember our dear friend and founder, the late John Scarpelli. On April 23, 2014 John passed away suddenly at age 47.

It was through John’s hard work, dedication and inspiration, the Rochester Baseball League has flourished proudly since 1993. He worked hard building the league into a credible outlet for adults to play and enjoy organized baseball. 

The Rochester Red Wings will be hosting the Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs on “Salute to 'Groundhog Day' Night.” During the game the Red Wings will be welcoming Punxsutawney Phil to Frontier Field in celebration of the 25th anniversary of the timeless Bill Murray movie. There will also be a t-shirt giveaway and the team will wear specialty jerseys. There will also be post-game fireworks. Tickets are on sale and cost just $7.00/each.
