Big Sticks Add Five to 2018 Roster

The Badlands Big Sticks are excited to welcome five more to the 2018 roster, Kaleb Binstock, Cort Dietrich, Matt Henckel, Ben Thoma, and Jake Thurber.

Kaleb Binstock joins the Big Sticks as a first-baseman/outfielder. A North Dakota native, Binstock is originally from Grand Forks and graduated from Grand Forks Central High School in 2015. The 6’1”, 215-pound position player recently completed his junior season of collegiate baseball at the University of Jamestown.

Cort Dietrich will join the Big Sticks as a right-handed pitcher. Originally from Selah, WA, Dietrich graduated from Selah High School in 2017. The 6’5”, 205-pound pitcher is currently completing his freshman season at Spokane Falls Community College.

Matt Henckel joins the Big Sticks as a left-handed pitcher. Henckel recently completed his sophomore season at Gonzaga University and previously played for Tacoma Community College. The 6’1”, 175-pound pitcher is originally from Gig Harbor, WA and graduated from Gig Harbor High School in 2015.

Ben Thoma will join the Big Sticks as a catcher. Thoma recently completed his freshman season at University of Minnesota-Crookston. The 5’11”, 205-pound catcher is originally from Clearbrook, MN and graduated from Bagley High School in 2017.

Jake Thurber will join the Big Sticks as a first-baseman/outfielder. Originally from Des Moines, WA, Thurber graduated from Kennedy Catholic High School in 2015. The 6’4”, 195-pound position player will continue his collegiate career at Gonzaga University.
