WIN AND WELLINGTON'S INTO RBC CUP SEMIFINALS

The Wellington Dukes can punch their own ticket into the RBC Cup playoff round tonight.

A win over the unbeaten Wenatchee Wild will put the Dukes in Saturday's semifinals. Game time today is 5 p.m. ET.

Otherwise, they’ll have to wait and see how the Steinbach Pistons do in the nightcap at the national Jr. A championship tournament in Chilliwack, B.C. Steinbach plays the Chilliwack Chiefs at 10 p.m. ET.

The Dukes are 1-1-1, their victory a 3-2 overtime decision Monday over Steinbach (0-1-2), the Manitoba-Saskatchewan champions.

The Dukes have three points and the Pistons two.

The other three teams at the event, Wenatchee (3-0-0), Chilliwack (2-0-1) and Ottawa Jr. Senators (2-0-2), have all qualified for the semifinals.

Wenatchee, from Washington state, won the B.C./Alberta championship. Ottawa is representing eastern Canada and the Dukes central Canada.

The championship game can be viewed live on TSN on Sunday at 7 p.m. ET.
