Congrats to former SFCBL right-handed pitcher David Lebron of the University of Tampa on being named Sunshine State Conference Pitcher of the Year.  Lebron was an SFCBL All-Star in during the 2013 season striking out 22 and only walking 4 batters in 15 innings pitched.

In 87.2 innings pitched this year, he struck out 130 batters and registered a WHIP of 1.129. The senior from Homestead, Florida recorded a 2.46 earned run average and .216 batting average against across his 15 appearances in 2018. Lebron remains the 10th Spartan to be named SSC Pitcher of the Year and is the first athlete to win the award two times.
