Milton Keynes Lightning have signed 23-year-old British goaltender Adam Goss for the 2018/19 season.

Goss is originally a product of the Coventry junior development system, appearing in eight Elite League games for the Blaze between 2011 and 2014 before moving to the USA in 2014 to enroll at Mercyhurst University.

Whilst studying at the Pennsylvania-based college, Goss appeared in more than 60 ACHA games for the Mercyhurst Lakers across four seasons, as well as helping Team GBs Under 20 side win gold at the 2015 IIHF World Junior Championships (Division 2A) in Tallinn, Estonia.

“Adam’s backed up his existing experience of the British game with four seasons in the US collegiate system, which will have been a real benefit to him.” Lightning Head Coach Doug McKay said.

“I’m looking forward to him joining up with us and helping him push on to the next stage of his hockey career, and I know our great supporters will give him a warm welcome.”
