Legendary Captain Kyle Clarke Commits to University of Toronto

NORTH YORK, ONT. – The North York Rangers are pleased to announce that captain Kyle Clarke has committed to the University of Toronto of U SPORTS for the upcoming hockey season.

Clarke, 21, made an incredible impact both on and off the ice. A five-year member of the Rangers Junior A club, Clarke finished his 205-game regular season career with 132 points, including a career-high 50 points in 52 games in 2016-17. Clarke, the all-time games played leader for the Rangers, will go down in history as one of the best players to ever done the Rangers sweater, dating back to his days as an affiliated player back in 2013-14.

A two-time OJHL Humanitarian of the Year award winner in the OJHL, Clarke has made a made the world a better place off the ice. Clarke has raised over $5,000 to help build homes and schools in the Dominican Republic and is an ambassador for the lung association, among other incredible achievements.

Clarke will join UofT as a humanities student, while also playing on a team that features many former OJHLers, including Austin Broadhurst, Willy Paul, Ryan Kirkup and Max Lindsay.
