Okanagan College Coyotes vs University of Fraser Valley Cascades

The Cascades travelled to Kelowna on Friday to get two games in with the Coyotes.  Game 1 had Zac Yandeau pick up a win out of the bullpen as the Coyotes won 12-7 in a back and forth affair.  Game 2 the Coyotes jumped out to an early 10-1 lead after the first inning and finished with a 14-3 win.  Riley Jepson continues to crush CCBC pitching as he keeps his average over .500 working at a .515 clip, he also hit his first homerun of the season.

Games 3 & 4 scheduled in Chilliwack were cancelled due to weather and field conditions.  Make up dates have not been finalized.

 

Thompson Rivers University Wolfpack vs Vancouver Island University Mariners.

The top team in the league headed on the their first road trip to Kamloops where they ran into a determined TRU team.  The Wolfpack swept the Mariners with scores of 9-8, 7-4, 4-0, and 9-6.  Tyler Moskyluk set a TRU record with a complete game striking out 18 Mariners batters.

 

The final matchup had the battle of Alberta with University of Calgary Dinos traveling to Prairie Baseball Academy in Lethbridge.   With tough weather on Saturday the teams decided to play a triple header with the Dinos winning two of the three.
