Alpharetta, Ga. – The Sunbelt League has announced the re-brand of the Alpharetta organization for the 2018 season.  Formerly the Alpharetta Braves, will now be known as the Alpharetta Aviators.  Taking over the organization will be owner, Vincent Rossy, and his father, Izzy Rossy, will serve as the General Manager for the Aviators.

"We are excited to partner with the Sunbelt League to bring a positive experience for the ball players as well as the Alpharetta community,” said Vincent Rossy.  “Everyone involved has a passion for baseball as well as player development so this will be a great combination."

Vincent, who also serves as the CEO of CorTech International, received his degree in economics from Central Connecticut State, and was an All-NAC, and All-New England selection in his playing days for the Blue Devils.  Izzy brings a 30-year background in entrepreneurship in the construction field in Connecticut, and has spent the last twenty years for the Boston Red Sox Spring Training facility in Fort Myers, Fl in the security and operations sector.

“We are looking forward to bringing the Alpharetta Aviators a future of successful competition as well as giving the ball players a great path to local Atlanta, GA baseball and with a goal to get the players MLB exposure and hope to fulfill their dreams of playing professional baseball,” said Izzy Rossy.

The Aviators will continue to be led by former MLB outfielder, Brandon Boggs, who will be entering his third year managing the Alpharetta club.  The Alpharetta organization will also continue to play at Legion Field at Legion Post 201 in Alpharetta.

“We’re extremely excited to have the Aviators, and what it means for the growth of the Sunbelt League,” said Sunbelt Director of Operations, Jeff Moyer.  “The Rossys bring knowledge of the game both on and off the field that will only continue to help in the Alpharetta organization and the Sunbelt League as a whole.”

The re-brand of the Aviators will take over the organization of the Alpharetta Braves that operated from 2015-2017 as a league operated team.  Prior to the 2015 season, the Braves were under the umbrella of the Windward Baseball Academy beginning in the 2010 season.
