APPLY NOW FOR THE ACHA M3 SELECT TEAM

TROY, Mich. (April 6, 2018) – The American Collegiate Hockey Association, the governing body for non-varsity college hockey in the United States, announces that a Select Team from ACHA Men’s Division 3 will travel to Krasnoyarsk, Russia in October 2018 to participate in the 2018 Student Hockey Challenge International Championship.

 

The Student Hockey Challenge will be held from October 1, 2018 through October 8, 2018 and is sponsored by the Russian Student Hockey League as well as “Directorate Krasnoyarsk 2019.”  The Student Hockey Challenge is an official test event of the 29th Winter World University Games, which will be held in Krasnoyarsk in March 2019.

 

Two ACHA teams will join six other university teams from Europe, Asia, and Russia to participate in the Student Hockey Challenge.  In addition to the ACHA Men’s Division 3 Select Team, 2018 M2 National Champions Florida Gulf Coast University will send a team to Krasnoyarsk in October 2018.

 

The eight participating teams will play five games each during the event.  All Student Hockey Challenge games will be played at venues that will host the 2019 Winter World University Games men’s and women’s hockey events.

 

The ACHA is currently accepting applications from Men’s Division 3 student-athletes who wish to be considered for inclusion on the Select Team.  The online application can be found on the ACHA website at www.bit.ly/D3SelectsApp.

 

All Men’s Division 3 student-athletes competing in the upcoming Division 3 All-Star Challenge are encouraged to apply for the Select Team.
