Huge news coming out of the Colorado Thunderbirds organization as they had 5 former players sign NHL contracts in a single month!

Scott Eansor signed with the NHL NY Islanders.   Eansor played Colorado Thunderbirds from 2008-2011 and 2012-2013, 2013-2017 for WHL Seattle Thunderbirds, and 2017-2018 for the AHL Bridgeport Sound Tigers.

Mikey Eyssimont, signed a contract with the NHL LA Kings. Eyssimont played Colorado Thunderbirds from 2009-2013, USHL Fargo Force from 2013-2015, and St. Cloud State University from 2015-2018.  Mikey was drafted in the 2016 NHL Draft round 5, #142 overall by the LA Kings.

Troy Terry signed with the NHL Anaheim Ducks.  Terry played Colorado Thunderbirds from 2008-2014, US National U18 Team from 2014-2015, University of Denver from 2015-2018, and was selected in the 2015 NHL Draft by Anaheim, Round 5, 148th overall.  Troy represented USA internationally where he helped America win Gold at the 2015 IIHF World U18 Championship and the 2017 IIHF World Junior Championship. Terry most recently played internationally with Team USA at the 2018 Winter Olympics.  

Dylan Gambrell signed with the NHL San Jose Sharks.  Gambrell played Colorado Thunderbirds from 2011-2012, USHL Dubuque Fighting Saints from 2012-2015, University of Denver from 2015-2018, and was drafted in 2016, round 2, #60 overall by NHL San Jose Sharks.  

Cal Foote signed with the NHL Tampa Bay Lightning. Cal played Colorado Thunderbirds from 2009-2015 and currently plays for the Kelowna Rockets, along with his younger brother, Nolan Foote. Cal Foote was selected in the first round of the 2017 NHL Draft, #14 overall, by Tampa Bay Lightning.  Cal is the son of proud parents, Jenn and Adam Foote, a 20-year NHL defense veteran.
