Crowley Is A Constant
While the Black Wolves have been up and down this season, veteran forward Kevin Crowley has been a model of consistency. In the 19-11 loss to the Colorado Mammoth Sunday, Crowley ran his streak of games with at least one goal to 27, finishing with four goals and three assists. It was the third four-goal game of the season for Crowley, and the seventh time this year he has had at least two goals. He already has five hat tricks. Last year, Crowley had eight hat tricks and 15 multi-goal games while collecting a single-season career high 45 goals. Through eight games this season, Crowley has 23 goals, one more than he had at the same point in 2017. Crowley needs eight points to reach 500 for his career. Since the start of the 2016 season, Crowley has scored 101 goals in 44 games.

Tip Of The Hat
Stephan Leblanc had his first hat trick in a Black Wolves’ uniform Sunday, and he now has 11 goals since joining the team following a trade in December with the Toronto Rock. One week earlier, Leblanc had a season-high six assists in the loss to the Bandits.

Another Century?
Shawn Evans had two goals and four assists Sunday. Through eight games, he has 48 points. That means he is on pace for what would be his sixth straight 100-point season. Evans posted an unprecedented fifth straight 100-point season last year.

Boxed In
The Black Wolves gave up a season-high seven power play goals Sunday, and were called for 12 penalties overall. That translated into 30 penalty minutes. In the last two games, the Black Wolves have allowed 11 power play goals. In the first six games of the season, New England allowed a combined seven power play goals. Overall, the Black Wolves are still No. 2 in the NLL in penalty kill efficiency (53.8 percent).
